The Gullah Geechee Heritage Corridor
I just read the plan for the Gullah Geechee Heritage Corridor prepared by the Commission for The Department of the Interior and it is amazing! If you are a Gullah descendant, I cannot stress enough...just how monumental this four-state 8.2 acre preservation project is...if i am to believe what i read we can look forward to a future where not only the folkways attributed to sea island gullah life are preserved but where the very people preserving them are rightly recognized and no longer lost like GHOSTS...Finally, Finally...if i get my way, we...
